Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026 Codastra respects your privacy and handles the personal data you share with us with care. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

  1. Who we are

    Codastra is a software company that builds custom software, websites and automations for businesses. Codastra is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 82249059.

  2. What data we collect

    We only collect data that you provide to us yourself, for example when you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or a form on this website. This includes:

    • Your name
    • Your email address and/or phone number
    • The content of your message or request
    • Any project information you share with us during a collaboration

  3. Why we use this data

    We use your data to respond to your question, prepare a quote, carry out an agreement, and keep you informed about ongoing projects. We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing and never sell it to third parties.

  4. Legal basis for processing

    We process your data based on your consent (for example when you submit a form), the performance of a contract (for an ongoing project), or our legitimate interest in responding to questions you ask us directly.

  5. Forms on this website

    When you fill in a form on this website, your details are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which runs at Netlify, the provider that hosts this website. From there your message is emailed to us via Postmark, a service for sending email; you also receive a confirmation via Postmark. Postmark keeps sent messages for a limited time to verify delivery. The website itself does not store form submissions in a database.

    To prevent spam we use Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile is only loaded on pages with a form and processes technical data, such as your IP address and browser characteristics, to check that the form is filled in by a person. Turnstile is not used for advertising or tracking.

  6. Cookies and similar technologies

    This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics tools. In your browser's session storage we only remember whether you have already seen the opening screen and the introduction card; this data disappears as soon as you close the tab. The background video on the homepage is loaded via Amazon CloudFront; your IP address may be processed to deliver the video.

  7. Sharing with third parties

    We only share your data with parties that are necessary for our services: Netlify (hosting this website), Postmark (sending email) and Cloudflare (spam protection on forms). Agreements are in place with these parties to process your data securely. We never sell or rent your data to third parties.

  8. Retention period

    We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires (for example the statutory retention period for invoices). After that, we delete your data.

  9. Security

    We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful use, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) on this website.

  10. Your rights

    You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. You can also object to the processing of your data or ask us to restrict it. Contact us at info@codastra.nl to do so. If you disagree with how we process your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

  11. Changes

    We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The most current version is always available on this page.
